I started this blog to keep track of my thoughts as a collection of short essays. My objective is to emphasize the appreciation of clothing, personal items, and the self. The goal is to inspire people to create good habits pertaining to wearing, purchasing, styling, and taking care of your things, and your life. The modern consumer is accustomed to the desire for the next shiny, new thing. This mentality is shallow and only scratches the surface of that said "desire". I'm trying to dig deeper into fulfilling that feeling of desire, and transitioning it into a feeling of gratitude and comfort towards what you already have. I will share my insight about knowing and feeling that you are enough, and not feeding into the societal pressure of looking good or showing off for somebody else. It’s important that you do things that feel good for you, not things that are for the admiration of others. Focusing on the appreciation of yourself and your items, along with the craftsmanship behind them is exciting and extremely helpful towards minimizing the behaviors of overconsumption. There is a story embedded in each fiber of the world- the fibers of humanity, the fibers of our materials, the fibers of the environment. Let's explore these stories and create our own along the way.
